LOGGIA BALSAMO

The loggia, owned by the Balsamo family since the nineteenth century, dates back to the 14th century.

It is considered by many local historians to be part of the ancient building of the mint active in the Angevin period. Above two ogival arches there is a balcony supported by nine richly carved shelves, joined by small arches, decorated with thirty-six allegorical figures, four per shelf, which refer to the mysterious medieval symbolism.
